Professional Learning and Development in CLD. (5 Hours)
This Unit will cover an introduction to the CLD Standards Council model of Registration and the Professional Learning & Development approach, with its 3 year planning and review cycle and how it relates to CLD values and principles, ethos and competences.
The unit provides a practical use of Critical Reflection and Enquiry, Peer mentoring and support, to familiarise you with the tools available and give you experience of embedding self reflection and peer mentoring into practice.
Specifically you will be required to:
2.1 Read about the CLDSC registration and review process;
2.2 Submit a discussion of different professional learning opportunities you have explored in the activity;
2.3 Answer two questions to take part in an online chat with your Peers and Course Mentor, and
2.4 Add a new Reflective Journal
The unit also looks at how participants might consider gaining further recognition and accreditation for their professional learning and the support that the CLD Standards Council provides for professional learning and development with particular reference to SCQF levels.
