Youth Work National Occupational Standards now available!

As you may know, CLDSC was ocntracted by Skills Development Scotland to undertake a review of the Youth Work National Occupational Standards (NOS) across the UK.

NOS specify the standards of performance individuals must achieve in the workplace, together with the knowledge and understanding required for roles, for most employment sectors. They were originally developed by Sector Skills Councils for the UK as a whole; skills policy in England has shifted away from NOS and they are currently managed by Skills Development Scotland on behalf of the three devolved administrations.

I’m delighted to inform you that the review is complete and the individual NOS are now live on the NOS Database: https://www.ukstandards.org.uk/EN

A PDF of the whole suite and the final Functional Map are available on the CLD Standards Council website:  http://cldstandardscouncil.org.uk/resources/standards-and-benchmarks/national-occupational-standards/
