Education Governance - What it means for CLD

The term 'education workforce' is very vague and there is a potential that CLD will not remain a

distinct profession.  Potentially CLD could get swallowed up.  Terminology such as 'lifelong learning' or 'community and educational workers' may be preferable.  We must ensure there is no fragmentation of CLD and it remains a holistic and interconnected concept.

Mutual respect is essential as are equitable terms and conditions.

What will the terms of registration be? Is it mandatory or voluntary? If mandatory then there needs to be parity and the board of directors of this 'workforce' needs to have an equal mixture of teaching and CLD professionals.
