As ESOL tutors for South Lanarkshire Council we are looking for some input/training on ESOL literacies due to a high number of Syrian learners who require very basic ESOL literacy classes.
We will consider anything nationally, happy to travel!
I checked with the Head of Curriculum (HOC) for ESOL here at Glasgow Clyde College and they have advised if there was sufficient interest they can run short courses with a focus on ESOL Literacies. It can be an 8 week programme based on one session per week or this can be shortened to suit the needs of the group. In the past its run on a Saturday or in the evening.
I'm not sure of the costs or anything but the HOC - Jim Brady has said to pass on his details to you and for you to get in touch.
His email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Hope this helps
